If you are weighing these up, the difference is not really features. It is what each company sells.
Planglow sells food packaging and labels. LabelLogic Live is their software, and their pricing page is direct about the arrangement: “Planglow Labels are required for use with LabelLogic Live.” To open an account you buy a box of labels first.
AllergenKit sells software and nothing else. There is no label to buy, because we do not make any. Print on whatever roll or sheet you already have.
Neither of those is wrong. They are different businesses, and which suits you depends on how you buy label stock.

Where Planglow is the better buy
If you order your labels from a wholesaler anyway, their label requirement costs you nothing, and their Erudus connection is a genuine time saver. Pick a wholesaler product and the ingredient data comes with it. AllergenKit cannot do that. You would type it yourself.
They also answer the phone. They run live chat, they will take remote control of your screen, and they send account managers to visit. If something goes wrong at seven on a Friday during a market weekend, that matters more than nine pounds.
They have been supplying food packaging for years and they are not going anywhere.
Where AllergenKit is the better buy
You are not tied to anyone's label stock. Buy thermal rolls off Amazon, use up the sheets in the cupboard, switch supplier when someone runs a deal. One of our users prints 100 by 75 millimetre thermal labels on their own machine.

And the thing it is actually built around: you save each supplier ingredient once, with its own label wording and the words that need emphasising. When that supplier reformulates something, you change it in one place, and every label, matrix and QR menu using it updates. If you run a rotating range and rewrite the same declarations every month, that is the part worth having.
Which to choose
Buy Planglow if you already order labels from a supplier, you want a wholesaler database doing the typing, and you want someone on the end of a phone.
Try AllergenKit if you buy your own labels, you want to test it before paying anything, or you change your range often enough that maintaining declarations by hand has become the annoying part.
